Fall, Winter & Spring Murder
Mystery Weekends
Murder Mystery
game week-ends!
Get away and recharge your batteries.
All packages include lodging, meals, a murder and daily
horse back ride (weather permitting).
Do you have a group of friends that would enjoy a murder
mystery together?
Do you have a birthday, anniversary, or other special event
that you would like to celebrate with a hanging?
We can schedule a murder mystery at any time you would
enjoy - just round up seven or more friends (for a minimum
of eight players), book a week-end together, and we will
take care of the rest!
To stay informed of when Murder Mysteries are scheduled,
you might want to consider signing up for our email mailing
list. We will be posting upcoming dates on the mailing
list twice or three times each year.
The Good, The Bad & The Guilty
We will travel back to 1881, to the little town of Roadkill, Wyoming.
A number of you will then join Judge Waylon Payne for
a weekend at his country lodge,
next to the courthouse in the middle of town.
The weekend will end with the hanging of the infamous,
elusive gang of criminals - the Malevolent Seven, and their
leader, who's identity still remains a mystery.
You must discover which of you should hang, and why!
The Watersdown Affair
We will go back in time to January of 1936,
and Sundance Trail will become an English country lodge.
Sir Roger Watersdown, the wealthy owner of Watersdown
Beverages, Ltd.,
will host several of you for a weekend party here at the
ranch.
But the party ends when murder is discovered, and you
must determine who among you committed the dastardly crime.
Who is the dodgy geezer?
The games are designed to be played in five rounds of investigation,
one round with each meal, starting with Friday supper.
The final round of accusations and resolution will happen
at Sunday's breakfast.
Bookings are limited to the first eight players or couples,
and restricted to participants who are willing to take
a whimsical view of blackmail, larceny, deceit, and murder.
Those of you who are offended by such high-jinks as shady
dealings, sordid affairs, and deceptive conduct should
not book reservations for these weekends!
Plan to ride our horses each morning after breakfast!
The Rate?
Friday suppper through Sunday morning's horseback ride
is $360 per couple.
This includes two nights' lodging, five meals, two horseback
rides, the drama, and just enough free time to enjoy other
activities or do nothing at all!

The Small Print
The "couple" rates are
for two people sharing one suite, any pair of people -
family, friends, buddies
- sharing one suite. All suites have at least two beds.
Add $70 per night for each extra person (eg. older children).
These rates do not include 3.7% tax, staff gratuities (at
your discretion), baby-sitting services, Trading Post purchases,
liquor (available on the ranch), white-water rafting or Fishing Licenses.
Deposits: We require a deposit of 20% for dude ranch and
bed/breakfast reservations, and 50% for family reunions
or other larger groups. In the event of a cancellation,
your deposit can be refunded (less 10% handling fee) if
your space is rebooked; otherwise it may be applied to
a later stay.
Gratuities: We are often asked by guests about how gratuities
should be handled. This can be an uncomfortable topic -
this note is to help you be informed, but not feel pressured.
If you feel you have received exceptional service, you
may show your appreciation by leaving a tip for our staff.
Unless you specify differently, tips are divided equally
among the staff. As a guideline, many guests leave a ten
to fifteen percent tip; however gratuities are left entirely
at your discretion.
More Small Print
To ride outside the arena, children must be large enough to safely control their horse
on the trail -- we look at the child's size, coordination,
and attitude on horseback. Children who are not yet ready
to trail ride will ride wth a wrangler in the arena while
parents are on the trail. Safety is our first concern!
Riding "double" is extrememly dangerous, and
is not practiced here.
