With the support of an assistant cook, you’ll keep guests and staff well-fed, happy, and ready for adventure—all while working in the breathtaking beauty of Northern Colorado.

Compensation: $17 – $20 / hour + tips

What You’ll Do

As Head Cook, you’ll be at the heart of our ranch, bringing people together over delicious food and warm hospitality.

  • Menu Planning: Create and execute weekly menus with flexibility for guest needs and preferences.

  • Meal Prep & Cooking: Oversee and prepare three meals a day with support from an Assistant Cook.

  • Kitchen Leadership: Guide and support the Assistant Cook and Dishwasher, maintaining quality and cleanliness.

  • Guest Experience: Provide meals that delight, whether it’s comfort food, baked goods, or kid-friendly favorites.

  • Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain high standards of organization, food safety, and kitchen hygiene.


What We’re Looking For

We need someone who is passionate about cooking, organized, and able to thrive in a lively, ranch-style environment.

Must-Haves:

  • 2+ years cooking experience (professional or for large groups)

  • Strong organizational and cleanliness standards

  • Ability to work as part of a team and remain calm under pressure

  • Self-starter with a hospitality mindset

  • Flexibility to adapt to guest preferences and ranch needs

  • Honest, communicative, and able to take direction


The Fine Print

  • Work Schedule: Full-time, year-round. Typically 40 hours/week (5 days on, 2 off). Additional hours, if needed, are pre-arranged and paid at time-and-a-half.
  • Housing: Provided at no cost.
  • Meals: Healthy, ranch-style meals included.
  • Activities: Enjoy all ranch activities during your free time—on the house!
