Summer Dude Ranch Season Welcome to

Our  dude ranch summer rates are more affordable than some ranches; no pool, no tennis courts, no water skiing. KISSF: keep it small, simple and flexible!

All family dude ranch activities are included in the rates listed (unless stated otherwise):

• Horses, horses, horses!
• Rock Climbing and Belaying Lessons
  

  

• Disc Golf – Very Cool!
• Tomahawk Throwing
• Guided Hikes & Climbs
• Target shooting – 22 & black powder rifles and Trap shooting (both 12 and 20 gauge shotguns)
• Archery
• Kids’ scavenger hunts, cookouts, etc.
• Children’s Western riding program
• White water rafting trips* (full week package)
  

  

• Evening campfires and entertainment
• Horse shoes
• Kittens, goats and sometimes pigs
• Donkeys, Chickens, lots of dogs!
• “Hanging” with the wranglers
• Pool table and Foosball table
• The Jacuzzi

And, of course, hammocks!

*White Water Rafting is “water dependent”.  Our local rafting company makes the call on whether or not the water level is sufficient for rafting.

• Swedish (and therapeutic) Massage right here on the ranch in our massage therapy suite.
• Retail liquor store.
• Gift Shop
• Local Art and Photography.

Little Riders
To ride outside the arena, children must be mature and large enough to safely control their horse on the trail — we look at the child’s size, coordination, and attitude on horseback. Typically children are ready to ride at about age eight. Children who are not yet ready to trail ride will ride with a wrangler in the arena. Please feel free to call us to discuss any questions you might have about your child’s readiness to ride. Safety is our first concern.  We do provide helmets for our young riders.

Riding “double” is extremely dangerous, and is not practiced here.

Shuttle Service from/to Denver International Airport
We are happy to provide ranch-shuttle service to and from Denver International Airport (or other locations within 100 miles).

The rates for round trip shuttle service are $300 for one person, plus  $100 per additional person (Up to 5 people maximum).

We try to pick up arriving guests between noon and 2pm, and drop off departing guests no earlier than noon, though we strongly recommend a departure time of 4pm or later so you can still have a morning ride before you leave the ranch. For earlier or later flight times, DIA offers some excellent restaurants and shopping opportunities guests may take advantage of while they wait for our shuttle or their departure flights.

For groups of more than 5 people, we recommend Groome Transportation
You can charter a Groome Ride directly to the ranch.

Non-rider discount:
We offer a 15% discount to dude ranch cowboys and cowgirls who enjoy the ranch but do not ride. Please ask for our non-rider discount when you book your family vacation reservations.

Active Military and immediate family – Year Round:
We want to thank you for your service with a 15% discount from regular pricing for all Active Military and your immediate families (spouse & minor children).  (If you have been injured in the line of service, you may call us privately about a personalized pricing.)

The Small Print:
Rates listed here are per person. Additional charge for State sales tax is 3.7%. Gift shop, liquor store purchases and massages may be added to final bill.

A Word about Gratuities:
We are often asked by guests about gratuities . If you feel that you have received exceptional service, and want to show your appreciation by giving a tip you may. If added to this bill we will divide it equally among the staff. Or you may give cash directly to the staff person you wish to reward.

Payment:
We prefer personal checks or travelers checks, & accept most credit cards. Oh! Cash is just fine too!

Deposits:
You can book your reservation with a deposit of 20% for dude ranch reservations, and 50% for family reunions or other larger groups of 10 or more persons.

Cancellations:
Cancellations 60 days prior to your arrival date may have a refund of your deposit, minus 10% handling fee, OR we will gladly attempt to reschedule your reservation and transfer the entire deposit to that new reservation, OR you can leave the deposit on account for future use (this deposit will never expire) OR you may convert the deposit to a Gift Certificate (Gift Certificates never expire).

Cancellations less than 60 days prior to your arrival date are not refundable. We will gladly attempt to reschedule your reservation and transfer the entire deposit to that new reservation, OR you can leave the deposit on account for future use (this deposit will never expire) OR you may convert the deposit to a Gift Certificate (Gift Certificates never expire).

No Show:
In the event that you do not show. You will be billed the full rate for your reservation.

Travel Cancellation Insurance
Please consider trip cancellation insurance to protect your family dude ranch vacation deposit. Both the Colorado Dude and Guest Ranch Association and the Dude Ranchers Association are associated with Travel Guard insurance.
