Absolutely. We group by ability and run longer excursions — five or six hours in the saddle, with lunch packed and eaten out in the forest, for anyone who wants the real thing.

Not as a guided activity — Colorado requires its own fishing license, and we're not set up to guide it. But we've got poles and gear you're welcome to borrow, and there are lakes close by (we are Red Feather Lakes, after all). We'll point you the right way.

There's real space to breathe. Afternoons and evenings you can hike up around the property, chase our free-range goats, wander the disc golf course, get the kids on the slackline, or just sit on the porch and watch the light change. We hand you a full ranch to use, not a timetable to keep up with.

Both, by design. The wranglers give kids real freedom — painting the horses, the slackline, chasing jackalopes — while holding a firm line on safety, so you're not hovering. There's deliberate time for the whole family together, and deliberate time apart. We're not a babysitting service, but kids get to be kids, and adults get to be adults.

If you're here for the full week, yes — a full day out on the river with our rafting partner is on us. On a half-week or shorter stay, you can add it as an optional extra. It's a great day either way. Just know it takes you off the ranch from late morning through to evening, so we'll help you slot it in.

Different every night, and never a screen in sight. A professional caller comes in for line and square dancing; other nights it's cowboy singing or cowboy poetry, and a campfire. When you're done, the Recreation Barn stays open late — pool, shuffleboard, foosball, giant Jenga, cornhole, cards, and the hot tub.

Made for it. Plenty of kids and first-timers ride here. Your first ride is a loop of our perimeter so we can match the right rider to the right horse — calm ones that walk steady and don't spook — before we head out. And our trail rides aren't nose-to-tail and boring: the ground is up and down and through the trees, and we border 800,000 acres of national forest to ride into.

Close to everything. One all-in number covers your room, every meal and snack, and every activity on the ranch — guiding, instruction, and Colorado tax included. You don't even need to leave the property. We'll have it all sorted.

Whitewater rafting is the one thing outside the all-in price: it's included for full-week guests — a full day on the river with our rafting partner — and an optional extra on shorter stays.

Yes, and it happens all the time — family trips and weddings especially. One person settles up with the ranch, then sorts everyone out afterwards. Either way works for us.

Guests ask, so here's the lay of the land — with no pressure either way. If you've had service worth recognizing, you're welcome to leave something for the team. Unless you tell us otherwise, we split tips equally across the whole crew. Most guests land somewhere around 15 to 20%, but it's completely up to you.

Per person, and it's all-inclusive — your lodging, every meal, and all the activities, with Colorado tax already in the number. One price, and no math at the end of the trip.

A 30% deposit blocks your dates and takes them off the board for everyone else. For groups of ten or more — reunions, buyouts, weddings — we ask for 50%, since you're taking a big piece of the ranch. Everyone counts toward the ten, kids included.

If you cancel 90 days out or more, you get a refund minus a 10% handling fee. Closer in than that, whatever you've paid is held as a credit toward a future stay — so you don't lose it. You just come see us another time.

Your balance is due 30 days before you arrive. And if it's easier on the budget, you're welcome to chip away at it along the way.

Usually, yes — an extra bunk in a suite, or adjoining rooms for a bigger crew. Give us a call with the numbers and we'll find a way to make it work.

She'll be in good company — we host a lot of 80-year-olds. There's a mounting block and a ramp to help her on and off a horse, and if she'd rather sit and watch, there are plenty of good spots close by. We'll bring the archery to her. We'd also put her in a ground-floor cabin rather than an upstairs lodge room, so there are no stairs to manage.

A mix. Family suites with a queen bed and bunks, upstairs lodge rooms that open onto the shared spaces, and private cabins with their own entrance and porch. We set the cabins up around your group, not the other way around — tell us who's coming and how you'd like everyone spread out, and we'll sort the beds.

Absolutely — vegetarian and most other dietary needs are no trouble at all. Just send us the details when you book, and we'll take care of the rest. And if the kids have a particular brand or item they can't go without, a couple of weeks' notice is a big help — we're a fair drive from the nearest store, so we like to have everything stocked and ready before you arrive.

All of them — breakfast around 8, lunch around 12:30, and dinner around 6, with cookies and snacks in between. Everything's served family-style, so sit with your own crew or pull up a chair next to someone new. Our head chef, Christopher, joined us from an executive-chef role at a Colorado resort, and he brings real ranch-cooking pedigree with him. Good ingredients, cooked properly, organic where we can get it.

Dogs, yes — and they're very welcome. Just let us know when you book so we can put you in one of our pet-friendly rooms. It's $100 per stay for one dog, and $25 for a second. One thing worth thinking through beforehand: on a long-ride day, you'll want to know who's heading back to let the dog out.

We refresh your room mid-week on Wednesdays rather than doing a daily turndown — a light touch that keeps the place feeling like your own. Anything you need in between, just holler and the team will sort it. And because water is precious up here, we may ask you to keep showers short in a dry stretch.

Denver International is the airport you want, and it's a shade under two hours' drive from here. The final 45 minutes are the stretch up from Fort Collins — that's the part worth having good directions for.

We keep Wi-Fi out of the cabins and lodging on purpose — that's kind of the point. There's connectivity in the Carriage House when someone genuinely needs it, and that's where we set corporate groups up.

Yes — we do recommend it. We don't run an airport shuttle or offer pickup, and rideshare doesn't reliably come this far out. Having your own vehicle also means you can head into Red Feather Lakes village or down to Fort Collins on your own schedule.

Pick up a rental at Denver International and drive up. It's a straightforward run, and Fort Collins is worth a stop on the way — Old Town, good coffee, a proper meal before you climb.

If you'd rather not drive the whole way, a few companies run scheduled service between Denver International and Fort Collins: Groome Transportation, Landline, and Mayflower Limo. You'd still need to arrange the last leg from Fort Collins up to the ranch, so most people find one rental car simpler.

One practical tip: download your maps before you leave Fort Collins. Signal gets thin as you climb, and you don't want to be relying on a live connection for the last stretch.

We sit at 8,000 ft. Drink more water than you think you need, take the first day gently, and you'll be right at home by the second.

The mountains do their own thing — even summer can throw a surprise, snow included. It's part of the magic. When it snows up here, the whole place turns into a snow globe. Pack layers whatever the forecast says, and you'll be comfortable.

We're about 100 miles north of Denver, which puts us just under two hours from Denver International Airport. Fort Collins sits roughly 40 miles south of us (about 45 minutes), and Laramie, Wyoming is around 50 miles north (about an hour). See our Map & Directions page for the full route.

Either way works. We can set up a discounted room block with a booking deadline, so your guests book and pay for their own rooms rather than you covering everyone. That said, most couples find it simplest to take the whole week themselves and have guests settle up with them afterwards.

Yes — and in our summer season, a wedding always runs as a full-ranch buyout. It's the only way the logistics work, and it means your guests get the whole dude ranch program: riding, archery, the shooting range, the campfire. It turns one big day into a few days together.

The property sleeps up to 32. On the wedding morning, the bridal party gets ready in the Carriage House suite while the groomsmen have the Recreation Barn — and usually the shooting range — to themselves.

We love a ranch wedding, intimate ones especially — around 20 to 30 guests, with the ceremony and reception both right here. Take your pick: the little labyrinth with Stony Peak behind it, the Carriage House, or out in the forest with the Rockies in view. We've had brides ride down the aisle on horseback, dogs in the ceremony, the works.
