About Us
Sundance Trail Guest Ranch is a small, all-inclusive dude ranch nestled in the beautiful Colorado Rockies, 45 minutes Northwest of Ft. Collins. Our guests come to unwind, ride horses, and experience the warm hospitality of a family-run ranch. We pride ourselves on creating a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment, and our housekeeping team plays a critical role in making that happen.
Position Overview
The Housekeeping Manager reports directly to the ranch owner, Ellen Morin, and is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across all ranch accommodations and facilities. This role is hands-on and varies by season—supervising a small housekeeping team in the summer and often handling all cleaning responsibilities solo in the quieter fall, winter, and spring months.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and train seasonal housekeeping staff in the summer months.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning and deep cleaning when necessary.
- Maintain and clean all guest accommodations:
- Main Lodge: Four guest suites, common areas, and bathrooms.
- Guest Cabins: Three stand-alone cabins.
- The Carriage House: Group event space and bathroom.
- Additional Areas: Rec Barn, Gift Shop, Ranch Offices, Vehicle and Hot Tub.
- Inspect all guest accommodations prior to check-in to ensure impeccable cleanliness and report any maintenance issues.
- Manage laundry, ensuring linens and towels are always clean, fresh and well-maintained.
- Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning supplies and coordinate reorders as needed.
- Participate in ranch activities, including campfire singing, cowboy poetry, and square dancing, to enhance the guest experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience required; management experience preferred.
- Must be comfortable with a hands-on role and willing to clean alongside the team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in all seasons.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- A positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Willingness to engage with guests and contribute to the warm, friendly ranch atmosphere.
