Four Day – Three Night Dude Ranch Stays

Some folks find it impossible to get away for a full week.

Four day – three night Dude Ranch Stays are a shortened program of lodging, meals, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, trap, rifle range and participation in the Children’s Program (for those age 5 to 15).

White water rafting and “all day rides” do not fit into the Three Night Stay schedule. (But anything may be possible if it will make your family vacation better!)

A limited number of these stays are available from Sunday afternoon through Wednesday noon, or from Wednesday afternoon through Saturday noon.

Non-rider discount:
We offer a 15% discount to dude ranch cowboys and cowgirls who enjoy the ranch but do not ride. Please ask for our non-rider discount when you book your family vacation reservations.

The Small Print:
Rates listed here are per person, and do not include 3.5% tax, staff gratuities (at your discretion – typically 15-20%), liquor (retail liquor store available on site), fishing licenses (about $5.40/day/adult), white-water wet suits, or white-water pictures.

Payment:
We prefer personal checks or travelers checks, & accept M/C & VISA. Oh! Cash is just fine too!

Deposits:
We require a deposit of 20% for dude ranch reservations, and 50% for family reunions or other larger groups. In the event of a cancellation, your deposit can be refunded (less 10% handling fee) if your space is rebooked; otherwise it may be applied to a later stay.

Travel Cancellation Insurance
You might want to consider trip cancellation insurance to protect your family dude ranch vacation deposit. Both the Colorado Dude and Guest Ranch Association and the Dude Ranchers Association are associated with Travel Guard insurance.

No Show:
In the event that you do not show. You will be billed the full rate for your reservation.

We are an equal family dude ranch vacation opportunity employer and provider, authorized by special use permit on the Roosevelt National Forest.

The “couple” rates are for any two people sharing one suite, any pair of adults – family, friends, buddies – sharing one suite.

These rates do not include 3.5% tax, staff gratuities (at your discretion), Trading Post purchases, massage, liquor (beer, wine, spirits and soda are available on site), or Fishing Licenses.

Deposits: We require a deposit of 20% for dude ranch and bed and breakfast reservations, and 50% for family reunions or other larger groups. In the event of a cancellation, your deposit can be refunded (less 10% handling fee) if your space is rebooked; otherwise it may be applied to a later stay. “No shows” will be charged the full rate for the stay reserved.

Gratuities: We are often asked by guests about how gratuities should be handled. This can be an uncomfortable topic – this note is to help you be informed, but not feel pressured. If you feel you have received exceptional service, you may show your appreciation by leaving a tip for our staff. Unless you specify differently, tips are divided equally among the staff. As a guideline, many guests leave a twenty percent tip; however gratuities are left entirely at your discretion.

No Show: In the event that you do not show. You will be billed the full rate for your reservation.

Bed and Breakfast Travel Cancellation Insurance
You might want to consider trip cancellation insurance to protect your deposit. Both the Colorado Dude and Guest Ranch Association and the Dude Ranchers Association are associated with Travel Guard insurance.

Dogs and Horses are welcome by prior arrangement. Please call us to discuss details.

More Small Print
To ride outside the arena, children must be mature and large enough to safely control their horse on the trail — we look at the child’s size, coordination, and attitude on horseback. Typically children are ready to ride at about age eight. Children who are not yet ready to trail ride will ride with a wrangler in the arena while parents are on the trail. Please feel free to call us to discuss any questions you might have about your child’s readiness to ride. Safety is our first concern.

Riding “double” is extremely dangerous, and is not practiced here.

A portion of our sales is shared with the Red Feather Mountain Community Churches Assistance Program to buy groceries, prescriptions and heating fuel for our local neighbors in need.

We are an equal opportunity Bed and Breakfast employer and provider, authorized by special use permit on the Roosevelt National Forest.
